IT Strategy
What We Do
Our team supports top NU ITS projects and technology initiatives aligned and laser-focused on the University of Nebraska's strategic plan. This team includes Project Managers, Change Managers and Strategic Communication professionals focused on delivering top project support, change enablement and stakeholder engagement across not only ITS, but also the System and its campus partners. The group is also responsible for consistent and regular reporting on behalf of ITS and VPIT as part of the University of Nebraska's Strategic Plan and the Odyssey to Extraordinary Framework. This includes status updates, collaborative initiatives, budget allocation and strategic prioritization to help the University of 91߹ITS and its partners, execute in areas to support the five foundational pillars at the University of Nebraska.
How We Align
Using the University of Nebraska's and NU ITS Strategic Plans as a guiding force, we regularly align to what matters most through project support and stakeholder engagement and follow-through. This alignment helps NU ITS create a high return on investment, prioritize what matters most, maintain the health and sustainability of critical services, and embrace a culture of continuous improvement. IT Strategy also helps re-enforce other groups embody ITS Core Values of being excellent by exceeding expectations; champions for our people and our partners; great listeners who empower stakeholder needs; forward-thinking through innovation to create solutions; and trustworthy through integrity, transparency, and communication.
Our Team and Structure
Our division includes Project, Change and Communication practitioners focused on delivering project and communications support at a strategic level across all of NU ITS.

The IT Strategy Division is led by Jaci Lindburg, PhD, Assistant Vice President for Learning Technologies & IT Strategy in NU ITS. Jaci’s role is to collaborate broadly with faculty and academic leaders across NU to ensure learning technology services, support, and the team’s overall approach is aligned to top goals and needs for teaching with technology. Defining Key Roles
Our IT Strategy teams support the traditional roles of IT Project Management and Communications. Additionally, the group is for individual change outlining five key milestones an employee must achieve for a change to be successful:

Our Project Managers support our Top Projects as well as emerging areas aligned to the top priorities of the University of Nebraska, University of 91߹President and Provost, as well as its campus leadership.
